    We Saved You a Seat

At Friends of the Bridegroom, we contend for everything Jesus desires for His Bride. We come hungry. We come expecting the Living God to speak, to heal, and to move among His people.

A People Preparing for the Bridegroom

Our name comes from John 3:29: we are the friends of the bridegroom, who stand and listen for His voice and are overjoyed when we hear it. That's who we are. Our whole life together is oriented around one thing: knowing His voice, and being ready for His return.

This shapes everything we do. That's why we cover every Sunday Service with prayer, and why we don't set time limits or restraints on worship. We make room for the Holy Spirit to have His way - and we make no apologies for it.

    What to Expect

    Come expecting an encounter.

Church at Friends of the Bridegroom is not an ordinary Sunday morning experience! People get called out here. The Lord highlights someone in the room and speaks into their life with detail no one else could know. Bodies get healed. Things people have prayed about privately for years get answered out loud.

Below is the loose outline of a typical Sunday (but be forewarned: the Holy Spirit routinely disrupts this and leads us as He sees fit).

    🤲
    Prayer Service

    9:45 AM — Prayer Service

Before anyone sings a note, we pray. We gather in the sanctuary to intercede and prepare the atmosphere to host God's presence.

You're welcome to join us. Come early, find a seat, and pray with us, open-mic style.

    Worship

    10:30 AM — Worship

Our worship team leads with complete freedom to follow wherever the Spirit goes — sometimes that means a spontaneous song no one has ever heard, and sometimes it means sitting in silence because the presence of God settles on the room and nobody wants to move.

Expect to hear people singing and praying in tongues. Expect prophetic, spontaneous song. Expect heaven and earth to overlap.

    Prophetic Ministry

Prophetic Ministry — As the Spirit Moves

Often the Lord highlights someone in the room for prophetic ministry. This (usually) happens through our Senior Leader, Chris Reed, where by revelation of the Holy Spirit, he'll call out a stranger's name, meaningful dates, private childhood details, and secrets of the heart they've told no one about. It's not scheduled, and it can't be requested. It's just the Lord showing up and encountering His beloved.

If it happens to you, you don't have to do anything. Just receive.

"But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in… the secrets of their heart are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, 'God is really among you!'" — 1 Corinthians 14:24–25
    Kids Ministry

    Children's Ministry

Your children are welcome — both in the sanctuary and in our kids ministry. We genuinely believe children can encounter the Holy Spirit, not just color a worksheet about Him. Our children's ministry teaches the Word, prays with the kids, and creates space for them to hear God's voice for themselves. Check-in is simple and secure, and our volunteers will walk you through it on your first visit. If you'd rather keep your little ones with you in the service, that's completely fine too!

    Preaching

    Preaching

The Word is central. Preaching at FOTB is Spirit-led but never void of Scripture - expect teaching that is direct, prophetic in edge, and aimed at actually changing how you live your life. You'll be challenged. You'll also be equipped. We're not interested in inspiring you for an hour; we're interested in building a Bride who knows what she believes and knows how to hear the voice of her Bridegroom.

    After-Service Ministry

    After-Service Ministry

We don't rush to the parking lot.

When the message ends, the ministry begins! Whether you're looking for prayer, healing, or a word from the Lord, our team is here for you. And if this is your first time with us, we'd especially like to invite you to sit down with our Prophetic and Healing Team.

This ministry is uniquely trained for:

    • Prayer — for anything. Salvation, a decision you're facing, a burden you're carrying, a family member who won't talk to you.
    • Prophetic ministry — trained, accountable team members who will listen with you and share what they sense the Lord saying.
    • Healing — we pray for the sick, expectantly, every week. We've seen God heal.
    • Baptism in the Holy Spirit — if you want more of Him and don't know how to ask, tell someone. We'll walk you through it.

    More Than a Sunday

What happens in the sanctuary is only part of it. The life of this church is in the relationships — the people who show up for one another when it really counts.
